ABOUT
Roger was born in Tenby, South Wales. He admits to running wild at the expense of his education before he joined up and served for twenty four years in the British Army where they took him in hand. His Army service took him to Germany, Cyprus with the United Nations, Belize (Central America) and also included various posts in the UK. He served for a further six years in the Territorial Army in various units and cap badges. In the Army his much neglected education was put back on track and he is forever grateful for the amazing training that they provided and the opportunities that opened up for him because of the underpinning knowledge that the Army gave him.
His first four years in the ranks of the Royal Corps of Signals were as an Electronics Technician. His one regret is that only by only serving for four years in the Ranks and not the qualifying six he is ineligible for a place with the Chelsea Pensioners. He was commissioned into the Royal Ordnance Corps and qualifed ‘Pi’ as a Specialist Fuels officer and held various appointments before leaving to join the oil and gas industry.
He spent seventeen years in the oil and gas industry as a company’s Senior Operations Manager before setting up his own consultancy. Roger became a consultant to a British government Agency and to City and Guilds. As a consultant compliance inspector and trouble shooter he worked for various organisations in conflict zones including Russia, the Nigerian Delta, Equitorial Guinea, Afghanistan, Somalia, Kosovo and Azerbijan. As an Joint Guidelines Inspector he was able to give back some of the knowledge acquired over a lifetime of service.
His passion is art and he uses his paintings for the covers of the books he writes. His great regret is he was never able to go to art school – it just wasn’t an option in his time. He now lives quietly in Hampshire.

Fast moving soldier spy story with complex plots, chasing down a device that could open the NATO battle computer to the KGB. From the British Minister serving the KGB to a beautiful Russian lady assassin with links to the highest echelons of Moscow society, the story takes us from South Africa to Moscow and London and on to Central America and back. A flashback story in the middle of the book “The Cyprus Affair” gives rise to the vendetta by Brigadier Tsygankov of the KGB against Major Brown (ex SAS) who is now part of the British Secret Services.
“Reviewed by Journeyman on Format: Paperback, there is a clear protagonist and nemesis, and the animosity between them is explained and developed throughout the story. Sets the stage for a good sequel as well. A good relaxing read on a flight, on the train to work or on holiday. Anyone who likes the 007 Bond series or novels by John La Carre such as "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" and "The Spy Who Came in from the Cold" will enjoy this.”
